Texture of Tuesday – 2

A texture that changes

And dances

With the slightest movement of air

And the forever pull of gravity

Clear

Yet, reflective of light

Solid

Or part of the air that influences it

A texture within and that which surrounds our lives

It’s there to behold in all of its’ changing textures

Enjoy the day

Curious Friday – Leaf Hopping

A new season in upon us

As the leaves emerge

Time to look for slight moment

Of spots on leaves and twigs

To slowly approach

Before they hop or fly away

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

If I could only get them to turn my way

Maybe I get some head shots

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And not get bite or strung

A Bookish Sunday – Where’s Waldo? -Side Stories

Books, whether fiction or not

Usually are telling you the story of the main characters

In a time and place

Yet in the background

There are those side stories

That fill in spaces

The main characters evolve around

In “Where’s Waldo” we search for Waldo and his friends

Glancing at all the other stories as they unfold

We and all living things are our own main characters

Still we are just side stories in others lives

I keep Where’s Waldo? on my shelve

For it seems our world is more interesting when we search for the side stories

Head in the Clouds – A Man made Wonder?

Flying out of Phoenix

Headed south, before banking east

Out the window there appears

A large hole in the ground

Wasn’t sure what I was seeing

Either with the Circled hole

Or with the backgammon design ponds

What it was is a open pit copper mine abandoned in 1984

Which as of 2019, it was bought with plans to reopen

Now called the Cactus mine

For a sense of scale that pit is 3,100 ft. across and 980′ deep
