“Skating away on the thin ice of the New Day”
“That the Universal Mind (!) has written you into the Passion Play
And as you cross the circle line, the ice-wall creaks behind —
You’re a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly in the corner of your eye —
Shining in the setting sun.
Well, do you ever get the feeling that the story’s
Too damn real and in the present tense?
Or that everybody’s on the stage, and it seems like
You’re the only person sitting in the audience?
Skating away on the thin ice of the New Day”
by Ian Anderson – Jethro Tull
These lyrics bounce around in my head as Sometimes I Wonder (as I’m sure some of you do too!) of a whatever named god, did he or she or it create this earth, this universe just for us?
Are we the center of all life, the rest there for our taking, to shape, to engineer, to consume. to destroy but ever so rarely to let be without our footprint left behind?
I sometimes wonder have we gotten it so wrong, when did it happen? was there another path we should have taken?
There is no going back, but where to we go from here?
How much are we willing to give up, to how have a different outcome?
To the about me; I’m a landscaper who enjoys what his does, yet I pretty sure what I do isn’t right
I don’t have answers, but I do sometimes wonder what they should be.

Love the message here- Jethro Tull also one of my favorites. Yes, our human condition is a conundrum, but I’m coming to see it as a more and more positive one. The book Metahuman, by Deepak Chopra, is a great discussion of this. Thanks for joining my fun, for all the visits and likes. I second the kudos for the photos and prose, also.
I just finished writing and scheduled a post about this for Monday morning, (1/17/2022)
