Made up patterns and textures
Light and shadows
Hard and soft
Smooth and rough
That our minds
Try to blend together
To create that something we might know

I had a hard time not reaching out to touch this on the computer screen! You are so right about textures.
Thanks I was surprise at all the detail in an elephant’s skin, it made think of old mature trees that have lived thru their time and all of it’s character
Life would be pretty boring if everything was perfect and smooth!
It would be, kind of like living in a glassy world
True.
As much as I wanted to I couldn’t stop my brain from reflexively trying to solve the puzzle of the what or who of the subject of the photograph. Reptilian brain is still working strong.
Well, it is an elephant’s skin. I took its’ picture only later to realize all the texture it had. I wonder if I look like that, if I was willing to take a close look, but nah for in my minds eye I’m still a young guy.
Thanks for the comments
Lovely!
Thank you
And if you enlarge it you won’t be able to tell what it is. It’s always good to take a step backwards to get a good idea of what’s going on.
Thanks, and I agree it’s the yin and yang of the world we live
So true! We are always seeking patterns and answers.
True, but sometimes it fun not to know, I think back to when I was young, laying on the floor following the patterns of an orient rug, lost in maze of the treads . Thanks
