The stairway to heaven ( or to hell)
Depending on which way your headed
Look up
Look down
Either way looks perilous
So, you would have to wonder
What would happen
If you just kept your feet on ground?

Great capture.
Thanks, the quarry I went to, was a fascinating place, but for someone like me who has a fear of heights, not a place I want to work.
Not for me either
Thank you, Jon, for the smile because I’m not sure I could make that trip either way. 🙂
Hi Judy, it was a great place and we were told that workers use an elevator to get into the pit, but sometimes workers have to use the stairs which I know I could do either way, thanks
I’m with Judy and staying rooted to the ground! Yikes! I can tell by my reaction that these are great photos.
I agree with both of you, but it was fascinating those stairs just mounted into the granite. Thanks
No way. I can barely look at the photo, it’s so scary.
Thanks I can tell you it was scary just looking down to the bottom of the pit
Those photos were so amazing I was forced to go on line to see photographs of the whole quarry. What a massive hole they are digging.
Thanks Paul, it was a amazing place, sort of surreal and they have another quarry in VT called Rock of Ages .
Take out the top, ladder and pipe and there’s an abstract in there. Jack the Dripper makes a comeback.
Thanks, I can understand what you are saying, but to me it was the stairs mounted to the granite that was so amazing
We all have our unique way of looking at things.
Wow. That image doesn’t even make sense visually, it’s like a puzzle. Great shot.
It is surreal, imagine at one time workers would have used those stairs
I can’t even begin to imagine that. Bet there were a lot of scrapes.
