A life time of learning
Still trying to form an opinion
A finite grasping at infinity
In awe of those
Who know it all
Before they have matured
Yet time has come
For me
To unlearn
So maybe one day
With a heart and mind of a child
I will see the wonders of everyday
Those of us who know your connection to nature know that you appreciate it and share your wonderful photos with the rest of us. 🙂
Hi Judy, you’re right. my thoughts were to the beauty around us, as to the hairs of bee, the fine strand of a spider web, it more about unlearning the human way
So wonderful. ❤
Thank you
That wonderful poem reminded me of my days in Sunday school. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Or as you say, ”
So maybe one day
With a heart and mind of a child
I will see the wonders of everyday
It makes sense if we realise that what is around us everyday is our own heaven.
Thanks, for your beautiful comment,,may you see the wonders around you
Beautifully said and illustrated. As I get older, I find that so much of my formal education is no longer valid (for my personal heart as well as current ways of looking at things). So much that I internalized about how one “should” be in the world has taken me/is still taking me years to unlearn. I figure by the time I almost get there – my fur will be all askew and mostly rubbed off – just like the Velveteen Rabbit. 🙂 I’ve always looked at you as someone who has been light years ahead at following his heart and accepting other people.
