The beauty of a flower, beyond our admiration, is its’ purpose to attract a pollinator with real or fault rewards, to move the pollen to ovaries of another plant
Whether the flower be simple or intricate.
Each plant species creating its’ own unique flower and seed
The wonder of a flower is that transformation from a flower to a seed
Each beautiful, yet so different in design
It is wonder how it all came about
The flower and seeds of a milkweed (Asclepias syriaca)

Yet more fantastic photography. thanks Jon
I just harvested some seeds this week. 🙂
Beautiful pics of a plant that fascinated me as a child. The seed pods were served as ‘fish’ in my pretend restaurant. And I loved the silky-cottonyness of the seeds.
Nice progression and captures. : )
Hi theantilanscaper. Nature is wonderful. Thank you so much for liking my poem ‘ The Dark Tunnel!’ Best Wishes. The Foureyed Poet.
Love how the milkweed looks at this stage.
Your photos show a beautiful transformation. Do you get Monarch butterflies there? Their caterpillars love to feast on milkweed?
Thank you, I hope the sun is shining where you are
