A thin ice forms
As the season advances
The sun travels lower
The temperatures getting colder
We’re in the last days of basking in the sun
Enjoying waning openings of fall
As the approaching winter
Ices over the other seasons

I have always wondered how birds can swim around in icy cold water…
and not freeze their little feet!l
I agree, in fact I trying to read a couple of books on wildlife in the winter. I go outside for a couple of minutes and I’m cold. I’m amazed at how wildlife can live thru winter in cold places and wonder why most of them don’t migrate south. Thanks for the comments
